New game. First ever upload to itch.io


Hello everyone. This is my first ever post to itch.io.

This game was part of a C# project during my Bachelor studies, first year of it, where we had the choice to use whatever technology uses C#. Me, Droledami, and a friend, NickSow_ gathered to create this game. It was a great challenge as it was our first steps into Unity.

Our choice of project quickly was directed to the classic Brick breaker game on which we added a neon-like style. We absolutely wanted to add the bonuses such as extra balls to bounce off the racket, which created a few bugs at first ! I remember the game would game over you if you lose the original ball which did not make sense...

After creating the racket controls and making sure that the ball bounced off in a fast and satisfying , we tackled the programming of blocks and their different behaviours to be able to duplicate them to create the ten levels that constitutes this game.

Blocks essentially use maximum 3 hits to break completely, they contain either bonuses (extra life, extra ball or racket size up) or maluses (racket speed down, racket size down). Breaking a malus block just gives one at random.

Levels are either created to allow for a lot of bounces if you angle the ball right, or to show a funny shape!

The game can save your progress for sure if you download it to a PC, but I am not sure whether the web embedded version can since it is saved on a separate file and was initially designed to be played on PC, I just thought it would be handier to make it accessible thanks to the iframe.

The game is in French but we believe the menus are straightforward and no knowledge of the language is required!
